What do you get when you combine two of Thalia's dorkiest songs with two bored Filipinos? Check out these videos and you'll find the answer.
Thalia made it big in the Philippines with 'Marimar' and 'Maria Mercedes.' The whole country would stop to watch the soaps during their run. The Mexican diva was actually that country's biggest star for a few years.
So it really came as no surprise when Moymoypalaboy & Roadfill, the most famous Youtube duo in the Philippines, decided to pay tribute to Thalia by covering the theme songs to two of her most successful novelas.
Here's a list of the top 5 things we absolutely love about the videos:
1. The lip syncing. They actually learned the lyrics in Spanish and do a pretty good job on it.
2. The mom on the background. You can see her getting things out of the fridge. She's so used to the two guys singing to weird songs in front of the PC that she doesn't even bother to look.
3. The mustache during 'Maria Mercedes.' I guess the only ones to blame are Mexican actors and their big mustaches on those novelas. Some stereotypes can be so true...
4. The hairy chest on the guy on the right. I thought it was a black undershirt but it turned out to be an all natural rug.
5. The popping eyes and hair on the guy on the left. I sometimes thought he was singing through those eyes, for real...
