Know your income:

- Find your clothing budget - Keep a Shopping Journal

Did you know? If you pay cash for purchases rather than just using credit cards, you tend to spend less.

Just due to the emotional pain of parting from your hard-earning money.

- Know the difference - Needs and wants - Needs refers to a necessity.

NEED: It’s something that if you didn’t have it you couldn’t make it in the world. Examples: housing, food, and water

WANTS: refer to the desires that are not for necessities nor required for survival, something that is nice to have but is not a necessity in life.

Examples: designer handbag, golf clubs, or going to the hairdresser

Words of Wisdom: - Never buy something just because it's on sale. - Always buy the best quality items you can get on sale.

- Fit is more important than size. - Focus on purchasing complete outfits. - Don’t spend, more than what you have. - Love what you BUY & only BUY what you love.

Cost per Wear

Think of the total cost number of days you'll wear the garment, do the math find out the cost per wear.

Example:

$120 coat you will wear it approx. 65 times in a year

120 divided by 65 =$1.84 of the item estimated

Now try doing the math...

$$$ cost of item divided by the times worn a year.

Its important to invest - not waste in your shopping.
