Dolores dice...P.S. I Love You?

Exclusive from Latina.com

Dear Dolores:

Two months ago my boyfriend, a musician, asked for some space and time apart. He works during the day, practices with his "professional band" most evenings, and on weekends he's out at his gigs. I met him a year ago, when he was just starting his "music career." He’s very professional and intelligent and has a BA in accounting. I believe that if he really enjoyed my company and wanted a future together, he would make time for me, one way or another. Am I right to ask this from him? Or should I respect his decision?

P.S. I love him.

—Confused on the Internet

Dear Confused:

Hmmm. By the quotation marks you put around "professional band" and "music career" I take it you don't approve of his endeavors. You'd probably prefer he stick to accounting, hang around the house every evening, and mow the lawn on the weekends.

But I have the feeling his spirit would shrivel and die. It's obvious that music means a lot to him but that it's nothing to your ears. I think you should find your passion and let him follow his.

—P.S. Love should never be a P.S., D
