Lourdes Leon Ready to Steal Her Mom's Spotlight

Watch out, world! Madonna's first born hija, Lourdes Leon, has officially taken her first step towards inevitable stardom by enrolling at the Children's Professional School in Manhattan.

The 14-year-old is reportedly "desperate" to follow in the footsteps of NYC-bred thesps like Sarah Jessica Parker and Scarlett Johannson and develop her acting chops--ones that will hopefully eclipse her mother's someday!

The UK's Daily Mail source dishes that Lourdes is taking her ambition to become an actress very seriously: "She is determined to prove herself and plans to throw herself into studying the technique." The paper adds that Lourdes was approached to star in last year's family-friendly flick The Secret Life of Bees--presumably in the role occupied by Dakota Fanning?--but turned down the role because Madonna deemed her too young for showbiz. Hmm....are we sure it wasn't because she's worried that little Lola might steal her spotlight?

Either way, we're psyched that Lourdes isn't shying away the hype that's surrounded her since the day she was conceived. This chica's got talent, and we can't wait to see it.
