Polvorones (Spanish Sugar Cookies)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup lard or vegetable lard 'Crisco'
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp almond extract
2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
Directions:
Cream butter and mix with lard, sugar and almond extract until create a soft
Add flour and mix well.
Make little balls with a teaspoon of mixture doing a hole in the center with your thumb.
Bake them on greased cookie sheet at 350 F for 25 to30 minutes.
