George Lopez to Learn New Tricks for the Next Jackie Chan Movie

Are we about to see George Lopez kick some butt, Jackie Chan style?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, your favorite portly comedian has just signed on to star opposite the martial arts master in The Spy Next Door, an action-packed comedy about a man (Chan) who must protect his neighbor's kids from secret agents after one of the children stumbles upon an important code while he's babysitting them. Lopez will play a lead CIA agent who "might not be all that he appears," which suggests that we could see him face off with Chan--a move that would no doubt be comedy gold. Also starring in the film? Billy Ray Cyrus, who proves that riding on the coattails of your teen daughter's fame can really help resuscitate your career.

G-Lo is a busy man these days, co-starring in the political flick Swing Vote with Kevin Costner back in August and lending his voice to the surprise hit of the year, Beverly Hills Chihuahua. We're just happy to see him getting steady work since the unjust nixing of his TV show...even if it means playing a pintsize dog and possibly getting dropkicked on the big screen!
