Madonna and A-Rod Rendezvous in the Hamptons...with Jerry Seinfeld?

The secretive couple took separate helicopters to the beach getaway and met up with their pals Jerry and Jessica.

It could probably be called the oddest double date in history. Page Six reports that pop icon Madonna, New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica Sklar helicoptered over to the Seinfelds' Hamptons, NY estate last week for a quick getaway, and returned to New York just four hours later.

Madriguez tried their best to be discreet by arriving in separate helicopters less than an hour apart. Alex arrived first, and was picked up by Jessica in her white Porsche, and Madge arrived 40 minutes later and met on the tarmac by Jerry. "A dark SUV and Jerry in another Porsche both pulled up and picked up Madonna and they headed back to Jerry's place," a witness told Page Six. "When they arrived at the Seinfeld home, Madonna poked her head out the window and could be clearly seen."

The two couples retreated to the Seinfelds' waterfront manse for a little R&R, but decided not to make a slumber party. "About four hours later, the dark SUV left the house and took them all back to the airport. Madonna and the Seinfelds could clearly be seen getting out and piling into the copter that had taken Madonna there in the first place. They left together," the witness said. "Several minutes later, the helicopter that carried A-Rod also left."

We have a hard time picturing this odd foursome together, but many insist that it makes sense for Madonna to turn to Jerry during this dark time. "The Seinfelds have been friends with Madonna for years. They're neighbors on the West Side, so it's really no surprise," said an insider. "And Jerry and [wife] Jessica go to her concerts whenever she's in town."

Since Alex will be moving into his own Upper West Side digs pretty soon, can we expect to see more double dates between these couples? Um, probably not, but we wouldn't be surprised if they formed some kind of a Kabbalah book club...
