Lucero claims she hasn’t been paid royalties for the albums she recorded with Discos Melody.

The 38-year-old claims this has been going on for 14 years! Melody reportedly agreed to pay her 10 years worth of royalties, but didn’t.

Lucero also claims the company continues to release albums with compilations of her old songs, but makes them seem new by changing the cover artwork.

Why sue Universal and not Melody? Since Universal purchased Melody, the former is apparently responsible for all of its contracts, obligations and liabilities.
