People En Espanol’s Most Beautiful PartyAccording to reports, more than 12,000 tickets were sold for the film’s premiere at 14 theaters.
The last Puerto Rican film that reportedly broke sales records on the island was “Maldeamores.” More than 6,000 tickets were sold for that film’s premiere back in 2007.
Yankee produced and starred in “Talento de Barrio.” One of the film’s reps says “El Cangri” is “ecstatic” about its success.
The movie is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters at the end of September.
