"SATC" has gone wrong in so many ways that some must wonder why it has become such a huge phenomenon. Here are just 10 reasons why it is finally time to let it go.

1. Carrie was an idiot for leaving Aidan. "SATC" gave us the "He's Just Not that Into You" revelation, so why did the writers allow this silly woman to continue to go back and forth with Mr. Big, a man who clearly was not that into her? The happy ending was a contradiction and far from believable.

2. Considering that this was a show about four women who slept around as they pleased in modern day New York City, why wasn't practicing safe sex featured a little more regularly?

3. Throughout the entire time that the show was on the air, how often were African Americans, Hispanics or Asians (besides Lucy Liu) featured as powerful and successful women? Jennifer Hudson, the "token" character in the movie, who also happened to be the broke assistant who "rented" designer bags does not count.

4. Carrie did not invent writing. Thanks to the popularity of the show, aspiring female writers in their 20s and 30s have been branded with their very own scarlet letter, and are often told "Oh, you're just like Carrie Bradshaw," regardless of what they write. Being labeled with the big "CB" is not a compliment, especially to those who would never include "I couldn't help but wonder" in anything they write.

5. How is it that these women slept with the majority of Manhattan yet their biggest problem with STDs was Miranda contracting chlamydia once and Charlotte waking up with a case of crabs? Anyone who gives it away like hot cakes is leaving herself/himself susceptible to diseases that are far worse and far more permanent than crabs.

6. According to Samantha in one episode, "Now, maybe in the Dominican Republic, people like to share vibrators, but this is America—land of plenty!" Now, what is so "fabulous" about a show that would include such dialogue? Not only did certain comments on the show border on racist and stereotypical at times, but it also made the extra effort to throw in ignorant comments about groups of people that the show's writers clearly know nothing about.

7. Unfortunately, because most women are so obsessed with 'SATC', some men seem to believe the nonsense featured on that show. It is not a true reflection of what it is to be a single woman in New York City. All women do not get together for brunch to talk nonstop about men. All women do not invent nicknames for the men they are dating. And all women do not bitch while sipping cosmos. Those who have adopted these habits are probably pretentious posers who have every line of the show memorized.

8. Purchasing Manolos and designer bags as if you are one of the leading characters on the series is just plain stupid for the average single woman who has to support herself in New York City. And it certainly made no sense for Carrie to do it either when she could barely afford to pay her own rent. Furthermore, if regular women were to attempt wearing some of those outfits that Carrie and the others wore, they would look just as tacky and ridiculous as the characters themselves.

9. There is nothing empowering or phenomenal about "Sex and the City". Really, this was just a show about four promiscuous women in their mid to late 30s who stressed men 24/7 as if they were 17, and lived completely unrealistic lives in a city that is far more diverse than they cared to feature. It's quite sad actually.

10. Did we really need a 'Sex and the City" movie? Of course not. It was an unnecessary, extended episode that provided much of nothing. The overall concept may have been somewhat entertaining while it was still fresh on the scene years ago, but now it’s just forced. As Carrie once said when the sailors were in town, “That ship has sailed”.
