Dove World Outreach Center pastor, Terry Jones, declared September 11th as 'International Burn A Koran Day'. Now, General David Petraeus says this rally could 'endanger' American soldiers in Afghanistan. Watch video of the pastor justifying his rally.

'The message we are trying to send is much more important than people being offended,' Terry Jones justified his self-proclaimed 'International Burn A Koran Day'.

Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, FL has lots of reasons why his Koran-burning day should go on. After all, he believes that merely offending people of that religion shouldn't stop them from continuing with their event. He has the audacity to say that 'moderate Muslims should be on our side', despite the fact they will burning their holy book.

'We wanted to remember those who were brutally murdered on September 11th and actually, we wanted to send a very clear message to the radical element of Islam,' Jones told CNN.

Jones goes on to say that those who practice Islam are welcomed in the U.S. and that this message is not one of hate. Still, he discusses the 'dangers of Islam' and the pastor is reportedly the author of a book titled 'Islam is of the Devil'.

General Petraeus has declared that the Dove World Outreach Center's demonstration may be a huge setback in Afghanistan and could endanger troops.

'It could endanger troops and it could endanger the overall effort in Afghanistan,' Petraeus said in a statement issued Monday.

What do you think of this pastor's demonstration? Is he going too far?
