John Hughes Movies
Nobody can forget the classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Hmmm anyone, anyone? But this screenplay writer was also responsible for The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, just to name a few.

Aerobics/Outfits
Although people are still always "up at the gym working on their fitness," you no longer get to stare at the leotard/leg warmers combo.

Leg Warmers
These horrid things actually made a comeback, and girls insist on wearing them, even though all you accomplish is looking like you've got cankles.

Madonna
The material girl unleashed her power over pop back in the 80s. Pretty much everyone wanted to master her look. Her biggest fan? Britney Spears.

Rubik's Cube
Everyone in the 80s had one of these toys. Whether you managed to solved the puzzle of aligning all the colors together or not, you still had it and chances are you pretended to have solved it to look smart.

Robots
From R2-D2 to Short Circuit (pictured), robots were all over the place, and sadly, they have not become a reality like those movies promised!

Big Hair

Poison (pictured) wasn't the only victim of big metal hair. Other bands like Guns 'n' Roses rocked it too. Of course, if rock stars did it, the public copied it, and that means you rocked the Aqua net as well.



Michael Jackson

The King of Pop has it's biggest hit back in the day with the creepy 'Thriller'. Who can forget him on this pictured with that little tiger AND learning the steps to the song, that you later showed off at school?



New Wave

From Depeche Mode to New Order, new wave, had a huge impact in music. Many Latin acts like Belanova, have been inspired by the movement, and we still love hits like "Enjoy the Silence".
