TLC, the cable network that airs the show, denies the rumors. One source, however, told the New York Daily News, 'Deanna's role isn't expected to be big, but because she's part of Jon's life, she'll be filmed.'
The controversy surrounding 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' has propelled the show into ratings heaven. Its most recent episode, where the couple announced its divorce, was reportedly seen by a record 10.6 million viewers. With such high ratings, why would TLC put the show on hiatus?
In an interview with The New York Times, TLC’s president Eileen O’Neill reportedly said it was ‘hard to walk away from a big number,’ but wanted to let the couple adjust to its new situation. O’Neill also revealed that couch conversations featuring Jon and Kate, will probably not be part of the show’s new episodes.
'Jon and Kate Plus 8' is scheduled to return on August 3rd.
