The couple bonded on the set of Nick's "What's Left of Me" video and began dating not long after Nick's 2005 separation from his then-wife Jessica Simpson. They have been dodging breakup rumors since the spring.

According to Vanessa's rep, the couple parted on good terms. "They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for each other," says the spokesperson.
