Who would have ever thought Alex Rodriguez's alleged new and old flings would both attend the same event? Well, guess what? It DID happen! Turns out Madonna and Kate Hudson were recently at Veuve Clicquot's Manhattan Polo Classic event in New York City, and things got quite tense.

According to the New York Daily News, Hudson showed up in a floppy hat and huge sunglasses so she could hide her identity from the media, but got upset when they spotted her anyway! Apparently that wasn't the only reason Kate was going into hiding.

Sources say Ms. Hudson felt intimidated by Madonna and decided to arrive an hour before her Madgesty. When the Material Girl showed up at halftime, Hudson gave up her oh-so-hot seats and apparently disappeared. 'She (Kate) clearly didn't want trouble and decided to keep a low profile for the rest of the match,' said one guest there.

That, however, wasn't the case for Madonna, who was allegedly strutting her royal status at the event, arriving in a black Mercedes-Benz with NYPD escorts, her children and boy toy Jesus Luz. Witnesses claim Madonna even had the audacity of showing up without makeup and taking Kate's vacated seats.

While most guests left the event in ferries provided by Veuve Clicquot, Madonna allegedly left in a private New York Water Taxi. Whew, talk about being modest! No wonder Kate was 'intimidated'!
