Wisin y Yandel and 50 Cent Make Beautiful Music

Exclusive from Latina.com

by Grace Bastidas

I know I’m a little late to the party. But ever since Wisin y Yandel and 50 Cent’s apocalyptic video for “Mujeres in the Club” premiered last week, I keep hitting replay. It’s the first single from the Puerto Rican dynamic duo’s upcoming album La Revolución (out May 9; Machete Music), and it’s tight.

Directed by Jessy Terrero in an abandoned warehouse in Brooklyn, the video casts the artists as the only survivors in a destroyed city. Sure, there are a couple of sexy chicas around, including Dominicana Julissa Bermudez, but how else do you expect them to repopulate the world?

Have a look at the video and don't worry if you don’t speak Spanish because neither does 50. “I don’t know everything that they say, I follow the melody,” says the rapper. “You can hear this record and still understand . . . that you need to be dancing.”

Maybe the hip-hop star will join the reggaetoneros when they perform at The Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday. They’re nominated in four categories, including Latin Rhythm Album of the Year, Duo or Group for Wisin Vs. Yandel: Los Extraterrestres.
