JERUSALEM (AP) ? Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is welcoming Mitt Romney to Israel as a representative of the U.S. He tells the Republican presidential candidate he agrees with his approach to the threat of a nuclear Iran.

Netanyahu on Sunday said he listened to Romneys speech in Reno, Nev., where Romney said that Iran possessing nuclear capability is the greatest danger facing the world.

Romney says Netanyhaus perspectives on Iran are ones that he takes "with great seriousness."

The warm embrace for Romney is a contrast to the Israeli prime ministers generally cooler approach to U.S. President Barack Obamas efforts to employ sanctions and diplomacy to keep Irans nuclear ambitions at bay.

Netanyahu says the sanctions and diplomacy "so far have not set back the Iranian program by one iota."
