Last week, we questioned the various possibilities regarding what might have happened to Debrahlee based on her story. Since then, the debates have raged on. We're all about female empowerment here. After all, this is a blog dedicated to women's topics. However, there are some very important questions that all rational individuals are probably asking themselves regarding this case.

Did she deserve to get fired? Could it be that her work performance was poor? If her story is true, then wouldn't all beautiful women end up jobless? What makes her so exceptionally hot that she would be fired for it? And what exactly is Citibank's side of the story anyway? Well, here's an update on some of those things along with video clips of her more recent interviews on "The Early Show" and "The Today Show".

The latest on what has become worldwide news is that Debrahlee Lorenzana is now in hot water with her current employer, JPMorgan Chase. According to the New York Daily News:

"Lorenzana and her lawyer, Jack Tuckner, claim Chase has threatened to fire her for violating the company's code of conduct because of her comments to the press... And Tuckner said his client in clingy outfits will go the lawsuit route again if Chase chooses to cut her loose.

Chase has declined to comment on her latest allegations."

Citibank still remains mum about the whole thing but there is this as quoted on The Early Show: A quarterly report that came out in April 2009 claims that Lorenzana was behind on monthly sales credits, and that in June 2009 she received a final notice that she wasn't bringing in enough business.

Debrahlee denies this, of course, and claims that any gaps in her work performance were due to inadequate training despite numerous requests on her part to receive proper instruction. She also says she has conversations recorded that support her case, though her former colleagues are unable to actually testify in her defense since they still remain Citibank employees.

Well, at this point it doesn't look like this will be over any time soon, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime, click below to watch her interviews!

What do you all think? Do you believe her? Is it time for this case to be laid to rest already? Share your thoughts!
