Latinos: The Hands Behind The SAG Awards
Did you know that 90% of the artisans who work on the manufacturing of the SAG Awards statuettes are Latino? I recently visited the American Fine Arts Foundry in Burbank, California, where the bronze statuettes are produced. Foundry manager Angel Meza said it takes about 8 to 12 weeks to produce the pieces, which were designed almost 20 years ago by an artist.
